Hyaluronic acid (HA)

HA is a natural component of the derm that plays a very important role in structure and moisturization.

The concentration of HA decrease with time.

This decrease is a contributing factor in the loss of skin elasticity and the creation of “static” wrinkles (nasolabial folds between the nose and the mouth, superficial wrinkles on the cheeks, the bitterness folds towards the chin, wrinkles around the mouth) as opposed to the expression wrinkles treated by the botulinum toxin.
“We will therefore put HA in the places where we lost it.”

HA is injected as a gel.

An anaesthetic lotion is applied one hour prior the treatment every ten minutes on the area that has to be treated. The areas on the face where the injections are made are therefore highly insensitive.

The treated area can remain red, puffy and sore 2 or 3 days after the injections. Un hématome est possible mais camouflable par du maquillage. Une crème contre les bleus est conseillée (HE d'immortelle ou Helichryse).

The duration of action varies between 12 and 24 months depending on the area where the injection occurred. Injections are made during the summer and the winter.

Intensive workouts are not recommended 24h after the treatment.
Sauna, steam room and hot tube are not recommended for 5 days after the injections.
HA injections also allow to modulate the face volumes in a very natural way :

  • Temples
  • Cheekbones
  • Lips
  • Nose
  • Jaw Line
  • Bitterness folds
